The week's assignment of abstraction was quite puzzling at first but I eventually got the hang of it. As such, I took over 40 pictures, many of wich were less abstract than one might hope for. those Images ranged from good to terrible but I decided to keep them in a separate folder in case I may ever need them. Even without those Pictures I had more than enough to complete the assignment. so without further ado, I present the
First thing I'll be posting today is a picture of batman:
See? it's Batman! Okay It's actually a hose but its also batman! for this image I decided to set the shutter speed longer to make the exposure longer and see what I get. What I got was batman. the hose rack-thing forms his head and ears while the sweeping motion of the hose suggests the edge of his cape. still don't see him? I'll post an outline of his shape then.
Next up on is an image I like to call Straw Hive:
When I saw this in the cupboard, I thought it looked kind of like a beehive. when I took it out the box like container turned out to be very warped, and despite several tries to get it square, I decided "screw it" and take the picture as is. At first I thought the result was okay, but upon uploading it to the computer I realized that the small compressed view-screen is terrible at showing the image. the natural look of the warped box made the subject look more like a beehive. after snapping a few photos, I had to shove the damn thing back into place in the cupboard. It may look nice in this picture, but I hate that stupid box.
One last Image for now:
I don't know what to say about this. This image was one of many of the fence/tree/sky motion images and possibly my favorite. why? because I can't remember where I took it. All the other images I can recall exactly where I stood and what is being blended, but this image, is it the tree and white fence? or the bush and the other white fence? despite the large blurred strokes in this picture (the least clear of all the blurred images) you can still tell that the subject is some green foliage and a white fence. plus it also looks vaguely like a barcode.
